One of the ways I found to keep my son busy is to buy him puzzles. Puzzles have become a nice quiet game in our household where everyone of all ages enjoys putting them together. The Dinosaur Train puzzle is great when you have a busy 3 year old that keeps you going nonstop and you just need a couple of minutes to relax.

Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train includes 24 pieces that is 9”X12” in size for ages 3 and up. The puzzle is great and very challenging for my son. You can see him working really hard to get each piece of the puzzle to fit in the right spot. It might take him a couple of times and a little help to get the right piece to fit. Once we have it done then we have to start all over and do it a couple more times.
The Argentinosaurus puzzle comes with a bonus dinosaur fact card. We like to go over the dinosaur fact card after we are done with the puzzle and talk about what the dinosaur ate and how big the dinosaur was. Then my son will act out and pretend he is an Argentinosaurus, and stomp around the house saying he has a long tail and a big mouth with sharp teeth. Dinosaurs tend to be one of his favorite toys!

Did you know that the puzzle is also made in the USA and its earth friendly? The puzzle is made with 90% or more recycled materials and printed with vegetable based ink. Also the puzzle is 100% biodegradable. I love the fact that the company is thinking of our kids. There are times where I still catch my son putting things in his mouth and you don’t know how safe the toy is and where it was made. Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train puzzles are by far one of the best puzzles after taking it apart and putting it back together as many times as we did it still is holding up.

If you have a young daughter, I think it’s safe to say that you know all about My Little Pony franchise. The show itself is focused on teaching the values of friendship using magical Pegasi and unicorns to inspire young children. The star of the show is Twilight Sparkle and she is accompanied by her friends to go on adventures and solve obstacles that come their way. I love how colorful and magical this show is. What better way to entertain a little girl than magical ponies?

I myself have a three year old daughter who adores My Little Pony. I recently gave her an MLP Crystal Princess Palace Playset, the excitement that sparked as she received it was priceless. The playset comes with 20+ accessories which include books, barrettes, a tiara, bracelet, hangers, a cape, a telescope, and the list goes on. The packaging indicates that anyone over the age of 3 can play with this toy, I honestly feel it should be 5 YOA and older. I’m already finding random pieces in little nooks of my house.

I do really like this set. It keeps my child busy and entertained for a pretty long time and she loves dressing up Princess Twilight Sparkle(this is the pony included). Adult assembly is required, this should take about 15 minutes on average. I was very happy with not needing any additional tools to assemble MLP’s Crystal Princess Palace set.

A really nice and interesting feature about this playset that caught my attention was the fact that it can merge with a different playset, Pony Princess Wedding Castle. This connection isn’t necessary and the Crystal Princess Palace won’t look incomplete if you choose not to buy the additional playset. I just think it’s a good way to motivate parents to add onto their children’s MLP toy collection. At the end of the day, we just want to bring joy and happiness to our little one’s faces.

Crayola Mess Free Color Wonders are the best!  Who doesn’t like to color!  It’s rated for age groups 3 and up.  The color mess free has become a lifesaver to keep my active child busy, and I have to say it brings the childhood memorize back because I enjoy coloring with him also.  There are five different markers which include a blue, orange, red, green and brown. The kit also includes eighteen different theme sheets with lots of detail of the characters they love. The markers are a perfect size for big or little hands to hold, also they are nontoxic.  If you keep the cap off for a long period of time the ink doesn’t dry up. I have a 3 year old son that loves to color! I was scared at first because it’s a marker I’m giving him and he likes to draw on my walls, himself, and my furniture.  He has colored with markers before which gets everywhere and tends to be a big mess so I was never able to step away for a couple minutes.  The mess free markers help us to keep the ink on the paper and not on his hands, clothes, or my furniture.  The color wonder ink is clear and will only appear on the color wonder paper; whoever invented this is a genius.

The Dinosaur Train theme is perfect for my son, sometimes he likes to think he’s a dinosaur.  This helps me when I need to get something done, like cooking or cleaning the house and need to step away. It’s an hour or two of fun and the bonus part is no clean up afterwards. I also like how the coloring pad is put together as a coloring book and not individual pages that can be scattered everywhere.  With all the detail on the coloring pages it tends to keep him busy even know he’s three he still likes to color the whole page.  I’m looking forward to buying more markers and coloring pads for my little artist.
